I would
like to describe the reaction of my students ... I teach elementary
music in the Lawrence Public School system. The ethnic background
of the majority of students is of Spanish descent, and the American
Folk music is not part of their musical experience or heritage ...
Your contemporary working of classing American children's songs
became an instant hit with the student. It was very easy to involve
them with singing, dancing and memorization of these songs ... not
only an entertaining experience, but an educational one as well
...

most memorable and exuberant music programs we have ever had here...
Your music is truly intergenerational ... Our residents still talk
about the feeling energized by you. They say, 'You can't sit still
when they play. The music just gets inside you!' Some who bought
tapes after the performance have told us what fun they are having
shared these wonderful old favorites with their children and grandchildren.
In fact, residents are still stopping me in the hall to remind me
that we MUST get you back. We certainly will.

The program
